Getting enough sleep is key in managing the stress you experience. Too little sleep will leave you tired, drained of energy and unprepared for stress. Most adults need 7 to 8 hours of sleep a day.
You can tell if you are getting enough sleep, if from waking up until you finish your activity, you don’t feel tired. If you are unsure, you can run an experiment over the weekend to gauge your sleep needs. However, keep in mind that too much sleep is not good for your body either.
